Former Vice-President of IOM3 is honoured

A former Vice-President and Honorary Treasurer of IOM3 has had a special edition of a journal dedicated to him on his retirement.

Progress in Hydrometallurgical Applications, Numbers 5–6, Volume 29, of Solvent Extraction and Ion
Exchange
honours Dr Douglas Flett CEng MIMMM. Douglas sat on several Institute committees and received the IOM3 Futers Gold Medal in 2006 for his work as a government research fellow for the National Research Institute for Metals in Tokyo. Douglas is a world leader in metal solvent extraction for rare earths, and base and precious metals.
