Authors wishing to submit papers for the 5th European Rolling Conference (ERC), sponsored by Siemens VAI Metals Technologies, in June 2009 must submit abstracts by 30 September 2008. The conference topics include hot and cold strip, plate, rod and bar, and sections/profiles.

Attracting delegates from the whole rolling community to Manchester, UK, ERC will cover product and process topics, such as rolled product properties, quality and applications, as well as the design, control and management of mill assets. Steel, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals will be considered.

Abstracts of up to 500 words should be submitted online.
