Worldstar Packaging Awards 2017 are now open for entry

The Worldstar Packaging Awards are now open for entry.

WorldStar Awards are presented only to those packages which, having already won recognition in either a regional or national competition in 2015-2016. Entries are judged by an expert panel of judges from member countries around the world. In 2017, the awards introduce two new catgories:

SPECIAL AWARD - Packaging that saves food.

PERSONAL AWARD - Lifetime Achievement in Packaging Award. The WPO is seeking to recognise practitioners from all corners of the discipline who have made a significant and nationally recognised contribution in packaging over a prolonged period of time.

WorldStar is one of the major events of the WPO andin 2016 attracted 293 entries from 35 countries around the world. The Awards were celebrated in a ceremony in Budapest, hosted by the Hungarian Association of Packaging and Materials Handling.

Victorinox Fragrances won the prestigious Marketing Award for the Victorinox Ella. Matthias Seyfang, CEO Victorinox Fragrances, commented, “I was really impressed by the World Packaging gala ceremony last week! Every detail was professionally and perfectly organized: The content and process of the evening, the individual interviews, the dinner with excellent food and beverages - all in a beautiful and elegant setting. With your award you clearly inspire innovative packaging technology - as well as  motivation, education and creativity of students.”

Deadline for entries is 14 October 2016.
