Celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, the Plastics Industry Awards have been relaunched for 2010. They now include different
categories for suppliers of materials, machinery and moulds and there is no longer a voting system for suppliers.

A new competition has been esablished for young designers, run in
association with the Industry Awards. The winning product idea will be put into serial production, and shortlisted entrants will see their concepts undergo design and
prototyping refinements.

Individuals under 25 years old are invited to design a non-electronic commercial product with mass market appeal for retail or
industry. They must see the design
process from concept, to CAD and on to
production-ready manufacturing data. The three finalists will be invited to the Plastics Industry
Awards ceremony, where the winner will be announced.
