The Titanium Information Group's (TIG's) new prize, the Ti Researcher Award, is open for entries from those in their early stage careers. The deadline for completed nomination forms is 28 August.
The award is open to national and international students, graduates and practicing materials engineers who are researching titanium. Applicants must be able to demonstrate:
A contribution to titanium metallurgy research, which is, or will, enhance the performance of titanium, or any other scientific/technological innovation or improvement linked to the production processes and application of titanium and its alloys.
Exceptional knowledge and understanding indicative of a highly successful future in metallurgy research.
The award and £250 prize money will be presented on 2 October at the TIG and Special Metals Forum annual membership dinner.
