The British Science Association (formerly ‘the BA’) is running Media Fellowships this summer so that scientists, clinicians and engineers can gain a greater understanding of how the media works.
Fellowship placements are with a national press, broadcast or internet journalist. Over a three to eight week period Fellows work within the conditions and constraints of the media to produce accurate and well informed news pieces about science.
The scheme develops the skills Fellows need to better communicate their research and expertise to the public and their colleagues.
Application deadline: 10 March 2009
