The Institute’s IMMAGE database of references to international mineral publications is being launched online. As an added member benefit, the service provides access to over 100,000 references from 1979 onwards.
On 22 November in central London the new online version will be officially launched, with a live demonstration and opportunity for attendees to test the user-friendly software themselves. Companies and individuals can also sign up for free trials.
IMMAGE is highly regarded by users, and has been described by Minline Newsletter as ‘the most comprehensive bibliographic service to the mining and extraction metallurgy industries’. Expanding by 2,500 references per year, the database covers published papers, books and reports, spanning technical R&D and operating practices in economic geology, mining technology, and mineral processing and extractive metallurgy for metalliferous and industrial minerals.
