A new deep sea export dock at Associated British Ports in Immingham will help waste management company Ward expand its metal export business across the world. The new site will be capable of exporting and importing various grades and bulk, sort and process for onward recycling.

In particular, Thomas Ward, head of the Immingham expansion at Ward, spoke on the greater functionality to working with Turkey, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and China.

Thomas Ward said, ‘Turkey is one of the largest markets for scrap metal due to rebar production used in construction and manufacturing. We now will be able to ship metal in bulk from our own deep sea export terminal.’
