The University of Strathclyde is in the heart of Glasgow - Scotland's biggest city.

It opened in 1796 following a bequest from Professor John Anderson. We received a Royal Charter in 1964.

Today, the University is the third largest in Scotland. Students from over 100 countries study with us here in Glasgow - 9% of our students are from overseas.

We have 67 buildings over 500 acres of land.We have around 29,000 full- and part-time students.

Strathclyde is one of the largest providers of continuing professional development in the UK - 34,000 people take part in our CPD programmes.

Mature students make up 20% of our intake each year.In the most recent teaching quality assessments, the University scored a 92% rating at either 'excellent' or 'highly satisfactory' - ahead of all other universities in Scotland.

The University has five faculties - Arts & Social Sciences, Education, Engineering, Science and Strathclyde Business School.We have two campuses - one in the city centre and one in the west end of Glasgow.
