Visit to Lam Tei Quarry
IOM3 Hong Kong branch Technical Visit
Located at about 3km north of Tuen New Town, Lam Tei Quarry is currently the only quarry operating in Hong Kong. Covering an area of about 30 hectares, the quarry is also a site for a range of construction materials manufacturing facilities such as concrete batching plant, asphalt production plant and rock re-processing plant.
The Quarry is operated in the form of a rehabilitation contract commenced in 2015 and scheduled to complete in 2022. Rehabilitation works at the quarry are being implemented in parallel with the various quarrying operations. Upon completion of quarry contract, the site will be suitable for a variety of uses beneficial to the community.
This visit will focus on the quarrying operations and rehabilitation work ongoing in the quarry site.

A Certificate of Attendance (2.5 hours) for Continuing Professional Development will be provided at the end of the event.
Please be reminded that PPE will not be provided and you will be required to wear your own (including safety helmet, reflective vest and safety shoes) for the visit. Participants without their own PPE will not be allowed to enter the site.
