High Temperature Materials Degradation Workshop
Organised by IOM Communications Ltd on behalf of the High Temperature Materials Committee of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining
IOM3’s new High Temperature Materials Degradation Workshop is a chance for members of industry and academia to discuss the key issues limiting component life. In particular, the workshop will cover topics related to the failure of gas turbines and heat exchangers/other key components in thermal plant. As such, attendees will gain valuable insight into the fields from industrial and academic speakers as well as having the opportunity to network with researchers outside of their current field.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday, 12th September 2017 in IOM3’s premises at Grantham. It is planned to focus on gas turbine related discussions in the morning, and thermal plant in the afternoon, with student posters in a shared lunchtime session.
