Logging into the IOM3 website for the first time

The new IOM3 website was launched on 31 March 2015. Your login username and password from the old website no longer apply. To log in to the new site you will need to have received an email from our system containing a "one-time login" link. This was either sent to you automatically or you requested it yourself. You can obtain a new one-time login link anytime from www.iom3.org/user/password

Click the link in the email and you will be taken to the website. You will be shown a message and a "log in" button. Do NOT go to "Member login" at this point, simply click the "log in" button indicated by the arrow below in the main body of the page. 

THE ABOVE IS A PICTURE OF THE BUTTON ON THE "LOG IN" PAGE. DO NOT TRY TO CLICK THE BUTTON IN THE ABOVE PICTURE. IT WILL NOT WORK. IT IS FOR ILLUSTRATION ONLY.

After clicking the actual "log in" button you will be taken to your profile where you can set your new password and make other updates.

You should not need to click "Edit" on your profile page as you can make any edits directly in the page. If you wish though, click "View" to check through your details and then "Edit" to make any changes.

If your home address is blank or your country is incorrect, and you live in the U.K., click "Edit my address" then enter your postcode into the adjacent field and click "Find address". This will populate your address section correctly.

THE ABOVE ARE ILLUSTRATIONS ONLY - THE EDITS NEED TO BE MADE IN YOUR ACTUAL PROFILE PAGE.

If you don't live in the U.K., you should now be able to use the postcode finder. If your country is incorrect, choose the country first and then use "find address".

If your address is not in the list, please click ENTER DETAILS MANUALLY and then you can enter all the address fields individually.

The postcode field is required, so if your country does not use postcodes please enter 000 (three zeroes) in the postcode field. This only applies to home addresses - if you are editing your work address please provide all details including full postcode, or use "Find address".

Please be sure to fill in all mandatory fields on your profile. These are indicated with a red asterisk. Most should be pre-populated. Mandatory fields which are sometimes blank when you first log on are Phone (home/evening), Selected local society, Selected technical community/division, and Preferred members' magazine.

If you need to update your Work details or Termtime address (students) please use the separate form at www.iom3.org/update-address

You must also tick the options in the "Profile preferences" and "Terms and conditions" sections.

When you've made all your updates click "Submit" at the bottom of the form.

Provided you have followed the above instructions correctly, your profile updates and your password will be saved.

Paying your membership subscriptions

If there is a link on the right hand side of your profile under "My Personal Links" that says "Pay Subscriptions", click this link to check if you have any outstanding payments. If you do, please pay these online straight away - if you have payments that are more than 90 days overdue, unless these are paid immediately your website account will revert to that of a “Free web user” and you will not be able to access any member-only content. You will receive an email from SagePay (the secure payment gateway provider) confirming your payment.
