David Kind (Trelleborg Ind AVS) - The smoking ban: Can it be applied to rubber?

Improving the fire safety of polyisoprene rubber compounds is a large challenge for Trelleborg IAVS. This paper discusses the modification of rubber compounds to improve burning resistance.

Phil Duke (DSTL) - Challenges for defence applications

The use of rubbery materials in defence applications presents issues similar to those found in other types of application and some unique to defence. Challenges and possible approaches will be discussed.

Daryl Stroud (Smart Stabilizer Systems Ltd) - Challenges in oil exploration

Steve Rimmer (Checkmate Wave Energy) and David Boast (DB Engineering Solutions Ltd) - Non relaxing fatigue resistance of Natural Rubber
