Natural Materials in Construction

Organised by the Materials KTN design exchange and Metropolitan Works as part of the London Festival of Architecture 2010.  It is supported by the Modern Built Environment KTN

With the emphasis on the issues associated with sustainability, natural materials are likely to play an ever increasing role in the construction industry.  This one-day event aims to give an overview of the current use of natural materials in construction, and seeks to bring together the materials, architects and design communities in order to stimulate discussion, transfer technology and investigate the wider potential use of natural material.

Who should attend

This conference should appeal to any architect, designer or materials engineer wishing to gain a greater knowledge of the potential for use of natural materials in the construction industry, and for internal design applications.
