Disconnected Android HeadThe Royal College of Art is planning a hands-on experience for delegates to its next Materials and Design Exchange (MADE) event on 19 September 2008.

Entitled 'The Materials Experiments', this one day workshop will enable design practitioners to touch, taste and smell some of the latest in materials innovations - from plastics, textiles and composites to smart materials. Organised by InnovationRCA at the Royal College of Art, the workshop is aimed at UK art & design course leaders, as well as in-house designers from some of the top international brands based in London.




The Materials Experiments is part of the RCA's contribution to this year's London Design Festival. The RCA is a founding partner in MADE, the government-backed group which aims to create wealth through dialogue and collaboration between the UK's materials science and design communities. MADE is part of the Materials Knowledge Transfer Network.
