Hong Kong Tunnelling Conference

Hong Kong has a rich history of tunnelling, dating back over 100 years. A substantial number of transportation, water supply, drainage and utility tunnels have been completed.

Currently tunnel projects covering over 27km and use TBM. Drill and blast and raiseboring construction methods have commenced within the last year, and more than 10 major infrastructure tunnels are at the planning and design stage.

The IOM3 Hong Kong Branch tunnelling conference will highlight the extent of tunnelling experience gained in Hong Kong and Asia, and present some of the forthcoming challenges and latest developments in design and construction.
