Organised by the Younger Members Committee of the Institute of Materials Minerals and Mining

The Younger Members Committee Second Great Materials Challenge will be held on 9 May 2009. This fun filled materials themed treasure hunt will feature some of London's most spectacular sites. Teams of up to five will be given a clue to solve which will give them the location of the next pointer. The group that completes the challenge in the fastest time wins.

First prize is a year's free membership of IOM3 for all team members, worth up to £146 each, to include a subscription to Materials World, Packaging Professional or Clay Technology, access to online journals and IMMAGE, and more! List of IOM3 member benefits

Runner-up prizes include Amazon vouchers, USB memory sticks, and Rolls-Royce gear including pedometers, bags, mugs, key rings and beanies. 

The starting point for the Treasure Hunt is the Science Museum in South Kensington, London from 12.00 hrs and the event is open to all.

Remember to check in with the YMC Marshal before following the first clue onsite.
