The Fuchs Foundation - "10,000 Moments of Truth"

12 Apr 2010, Forest Hill Golf Club, Leicester, UK
ICTa Notts & Derby evening lecture

Speakers - Peter Fuchs and Teachers sponsored by the Fuchs Foundation

The Fuchs Foundation was conceived by the party of British Antarctic Survey scientists wintering on South Georgia 1973/4, and the objective was to mark the service of Sir Vivian Fuchs as the first Director of the Survey.

The Foundation now aims to “create science and geography teachers as leaders in education through carrying out science projects in the harshest of conditions in the Polar Regions. This inspires their own teaching, that of their colleagues, and encourages their students to study science and geography”.

A joint meeting hosted by the Institute of Quarrying, Midlands Branch
