Downhole Metallurgy - selection for oilfield production & injection wells

28 Mar 2012 - 29 Mar 2012, Kippie Lodge, Aberdeen, UK

A two-day training course arranged by The Mining Institute of Scotland (with the support of the Petroleum and Drilling Engineering Division), presented by Ed Wade CEng, FIMMM. It will cover a structured approach to selection of casing, tubing and accessory materials for the different well types. Key topics will be summarised to provide a basis for discussion of practical cases contributed by attendees. Industry standards, etc that support the selection process will be identified. The target audience is petroleum and completion engineers and others involved in the selection and specification of downhole materials. On completion, attendees should understand, and be comfortable managing, the selection process.

This activity is approved for Professional Development by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
