The long-standing international conference provides an unrivalled forum over 5 days for the world’s titanium community to meet, present and discuss the latest technological developments in titanium science and technology: from the latest extraction technologies and new modelling approaches through to new and exciting applications of the Wonder Metal.

The 15th World Conference on Titanium continues the series of meetings that have been held every three or four years since 1968 (London), with a return to the United Kingdom for the first time since 1995 (Birmingham). Over the last decade the conference series has been held in three different continents – Nantes, France (Ti-2019), San Diego, USA (Ti-2015) and Beijing, China (Ti-2011).

The 13 technical areas remain largely consistent with previous conferences: however, the local organising committee are very keen to invite the international titanium community to submit papers in the new topic areas of Resource and Energy Efficiency and Materials 4.0. It is imperative that we work together as an international titanium community to share ideas to accelerate progress in the reuse and recycling of titanium alloys, and importantly, play our part to limit climate change for future generations.

Ti-2023 presenting opportunities

Abstracts of up to 300 words are now being considered on all aspects of the science and technology of Titanium for inclusion in the technical programme. Speaking at the conference is an excellent opportunity to showcase your knowledge and company’s experience.

I have thoroughly enjoyed attending and presenting at the last five World Titanium conferences. This memorable conference series always guarantees excellent value for money from a learning and networking standpoint. In my opinion, no other single meeting showcases and debates the latest applications, characterisation techniques and modelling approaches for titanium and its alloys. The conference is also always hosted in a wonderful international city which provides a unique backdrop for delegates to explore.
