Welcome to the Petroleum & Drilling Engineering Division

Magnus PlatformMagnus PlatformAs one of the Technical Divisions of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, the petroleum & drilling engineering division exists to support the upstream oil and gas industry by providing a focus for the exchange of knowledge on all aspects of education, science, research and manufacture and to provide networking opportunities; professional development; and a platform for membership growth.

Through the Mining Institute of Scotland, a programme of technical meetings is held each year, video linked between Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Paisley. The oil and gas industry is geographically spread so we intend to fully utilise modern technology to allow members, wherever their location, to actively participate in activities.
