Technical Roadshow - The Nature and Origin of Clays in the UK

The first in a series of technical roadshows organised by the ICTa Education and Training Trust Committee will take place on Thursday 21st February at 6.30 p.m. at Wienerberger House, Cheadle Royal, Manchester. Refreshments will be served before the meeting at 6.00 p.m. The aim of these roadshows is to provide a solid technical grounding in Heavy Clays Technology and supplementary support to those studying for the Level 2 and 3 Technical Certificate Qualifications and anyone with an interest in heavy clays technology. Further roadshows in the series will include: Extraction & Stockpiling, Clay Preparation, Fabrication,Texturing & Colouring, Drying and Firing,.

This event is being hosted jointly by the Lancashire and West Yorkshire Branches and will be video linked to the London and Home Counties branch at Wienerberger, Ewhurst Factory.
The theme of this event is "The Nature and Origin of Clays in the UK" and will be presented by Dr Andrew Smith, Ceram Research.

Attendance at the event is free of charge and is open to members and non-members of ICTa.
