C T Massey
Honorary Treasurer
Trevor Massey retired in 1992 from British Coal after 41 years in the coal industry in
various management roles including Head of Technical Department of the
Corporation.
In 1992/3 he was President of the Institution of Mining Engineers and was
involved at that time in the negotiations with the Institution of Mining
Electrical and Mining Mechanical Engineers that led to the merger of the two
institutions. He was subsequently involved in the merger process between the
IMinEand the Institution of Mining and Metallurgy, and finally was a member
of the negotiating team that led to the merger of IMM and IOM.
In 1993 he took on the role of Honorary Treasurer of IMinE and retained the
same position with the IMM and now with the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
