History of 1CHT

The house was built in 1830 by Decimus Burton to a design produced by Nash for Carlton House Terrace, redeveloping the site of the former Carlton House, at one time home of the Prince Regent. The interior designs of the Hall, Staircase, Library and Council Room have been restored to those of JP Gandy-Deering and are designated preserved historic features. Read history
