Starpack Student Design Challenge – easyFairs Packaging Innovations Exhibition, NEC 29 February/1 March 2012

Student Starpack 2012, the UK’s premier student packaging awards scheme, is offering a unique opportunity with easyFairs for participants to gain invaluable experience to help develop their entries, and possibly their future careers, through participating in the Starpack Student Design Challenge at the easyFairs Packaging Innovations Exhibition at the NEC on 29 February/1 March 2012.

The Student Design Challenge will provide a select group of Starpack participants with the opportunity to display their 'work-in-progress' at the exhibition and to receive comments and advice for improvements from the exhibition visitors and exhibitors many of whom will be industry professionals, to help develop a wining Starpack entry for submission before 23 March [1].

Visitors, along with a group of six official judges, will also be invited to judge the work and at the end of the show there will be prizes for the top two designs [2].

Each entrant will have a three metre exhibition wall space along with a 1.5 x 1.5 metre table on the Starpack Student Design Challenge stand in the exhibition. EasyFairs and Starpack will publicise the feature to all those attending the exhibition and to the packaging press, but like other exhibitors, it will be down to the students themselves to secure support and advice from visitors.

There are only six spaces available (three on each day), and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.  The Student Starpack Awards will meet reasonable travel and subsistence costs for one participant for each space.

EasyFairs is one of the leading exhibition organisers in the UK.  The easyFairs Packaging Innovations Exhibition at the NEC is the first UK packaging exhibition in 2012 and will attract over 4,500 visitors to more than 350 stands.

If you would like to be involved at the Starpack Student Design Challenge, please email gordon.stewart@iom3.org, or phone 01476 513 881.
