Mining Technology board
As one of the technical Divisions of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, we work under the umbrella of IMMa to support the mining and related industries worldwide, by providing a focus for the exchange of knowledge on all aspects of mining technology.
The purpose of this Divisional
website is to introduce the Board and its members and to explain our
activities. I hope that you find this useful and would welcome any constructive

Aims and objectives
Our objectives include:
- To promote the interest of Mining Technology within the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining
- To represent the interests of members in all the fields of mining technology
- To promote and co-ordinate transfer of information within the Division by means of National Conferences, Local Conferences/Seminars, Materials World and the IOM3 Website
- To provide a link between the local societies having Mining Technology interests(both Home and Overseas) and the Council of the Institute
- To forge links with other organisations whose interest is directly or indirectly connected with mining technology to promote the objects of the Institute
