Superplasticity board

Welcome to the Superlasticity Community webpages. The Superplasticity Committee provides a forum in the UK and abroad to promote the benefits of the superplastic forming process and associated technologies in a range of industries including aerospace, automotive, transport, architectural and medical. An important feature of this activity is to bring together design engineers, materials technologists and researchers to optimise all aspects of the process for the applications concerned. Furthermore, we promote new technologies that interact with or enhance the process.

Co-operation is encouraged between industrial and academic researchers through the organisation of technical meetings, conferences, symposia, workshops etc. and, through this, also supports the continuing professional development policy of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.

The purpose of this website is to introduce the Committee and its members and to highlight our activities. We hope that you find the site and events useful and welcome any constructive feedback.
