The briefs in full
Below are summaries of each brief. Click on the links beneath each to download a PDF of the full brief, judging criteria, prize details and other essential information.
Please ensure that the brief being entered has been thoroughly read and understood by both teachers and pupils. Entries which do not satisfy the brief will not be considered for an award.
Brief A - Design a re-usable container for taking home fruit and veg from a shop or farmers' market
The sponsor: British Polythene Industries (BPI) plc
The brief in brief: as brief title, using Plaswood or replica.
The prize: BPI will award £400 to the school which in the opinion of the judges, has had the greatest success with its pupils’ entries. £100 will be awarded to the runner up school. The Packaging Society will award £50 for the best supporting portfolio.

Brief B - Cravendale/Purfiltre single serve bottle
The sponsor: Logoplaste UK Ltd
The brief in brief: Design a container for this milk brand of no more than 500ml.
The prize: £500 to the winning school and a trip to our most modern manufacturing plant in the UK where Cravendale is produced and filled. This will provide a unique look into the dairy industry and how modern manufacturing processes help deliver milk into our fridges. The Packaging Society will award £50 for the best supporting portfolio.

Brief C - Fun cake baking kit
The sponsor: The Benson Group
The brief in brief: Create a new constructional shape for the Green's Cakes kids' baking kit carton.
The prize: The Benson Group Award of £500 to the school which has provided the best overall cartonboard entries. The Packaging Society will award £50 for the best supporting portfolio.
