The Schools Affiliate Scheme Newsletter has been a constant and highly valued resource since the launch of the Scheme in 1999.  The aim of the newsletter, which is published three times a year at the start of each term, is to keep you updated on all matters relating to materials.  It features details of courses for students and teachers, resources that we have come across that we think are worth a look, an update of the Scheme and the dates we have available for visits or resources boxes, information about conferences we are running for teachers and pupils and competitions for schools, local society activities for schools and a number of technical articles.

We send in three copies of each issue in the hope that you will share them with other members of staff in your department and your colleagues in other departments too. 

A new Minerals and Mining supplement to the main newsletter was launched in September 2010 to support our SAS members in geology departments.  This is available online for anyone to download, but if you wish to receive a paper copy please let us know by emailing diane.aston@iom3.org

We do have extra copies of the SAS newsletter printed as spares.  If you would like the odd one or two please get in touch!  Members can access all back issues of the newsletter, the element focus page and technical articles via this site and a selection of these are freely available for non-members to view.
