Print for Packaging Course
CMYK
All sorts of people, both in the packaging industry itself and throughout the supply chain, need to understand the way in which creative design concepts are translated into printed packaging. New entrants into the industry, but also retailers, design companies, marketers, buyers, packer/fillers, production staff and many others will benefit from a deeper understanding of the repro and print processes, and this course at a modern and technically advanced plant will provide an opportunity to learn about the processes and see many of them first hand.
Course content
The course content covers the three main printing methods – flexo, litho and gravure - and considers artwork and reprographics, colour and retouching, image carrier production, and related fields such as design, print, packing, inks and substrates. The course will also look at new techniques such as digital printing. Delegates will gain a real insight into a sometimes complex and jargon-filled business, and will leave with a good understanding of the principles of this important part of packaging and of the impact of upstream and downstream processes on it.
The day is presented in an interactive, informal and relaxed way, and delegates are encouraged to ask questions to make the sessions relevant to their particular area of interest.
Fees
The cost of the day is £295 plus VAT. Members receive a £45 discount, so if you attend two short courses it pays for your membership!
