Portion Packaging Machine query

12 Aug 2009, 11:29hall

Member's question (copied from email):

I believe that machinery exists in Europe for making individual portion packs (for e.g. milk, salad dressing) by thermoforming the two halves and sticking them together prior to filling. Anyone got any information on this technology?

Response (sent by email):

The process of vacuum forming two layers and sealing them together before fillings is shown in the following link. Unfortunately the process is large scale for making petrol tanks!http://www.hombach-thermoforming.com/en_twinsheet_technik.php You might find my second link, to a portion pack machine manufacturer more useful.http://pdf.directindustry.com/pdf/oystar-hassia/hassia-thermoforming-machines-type-thl-portion-pack/26013-73713-_5.html Good luck with your project. I have posted you query and this response in the Forum, maybe you will get more help from our Forum users.
