Past events in cementitious materials
14-16th September 2014, University of Sheffield
The Cement and Concrete Science Conference presents the latest advances related to the study and use of cementitious materials, for an audience of academics, students and industry. The conference featured both poster and oral presentations and selected papers are being invited to be expanded into full submissions for a special edition of Advances in Applied Ceramics.
The Conference Reception and Dinner was hosted at the award winning Kelham Island Industrial Museum, in the riverside area of Sheffield. Delegates enjoyed a tour of the fascinating industrial history of Sheffield, including its role in the Industrial Revolution and leadership in steelmaking and other areas of manufacturing up to the present day. The tour followed a fantastic dinner featuring locally sourced produce.
