29th Cement and Concrete Science / Concrete Communications Symposium

7-9th September 2009, Leeds

The Cement and Concrete Science Conference presents the latest advances related to the study and use of cementitious materials, for an audience of academics, students and industry. Similarly, the Concrete Communication Symposium is a showcase for PhD students to present their latest research findings in concrete applications. These two meetings held over three days present and discuss cutting-edge developments in the science and engineering of construction concrete. Also, with an eye on the current financial climate, co-hosting of the conferences allow savings to be passed on to the delegates. The registration fee of £220 for the two-day Cement and Concrete Science represents a 40% saving on last year’s price.

The conference will feature both poster and oral presentations, with all accepted submissions being published in ISBN registered proceedings. Furthermore, selected papers will be invited to be expanded into full submissions for a special edition of Advances in Applied Ceramics.

Finally the evening of September 8th will feature the Inaugural Lecture of Professor Ian Richardson, entitled 'A Closer Look at the Built Environment's "Glue"'. Transport will be provided from the conference venue to the University of Leeds, and back again.

Further details, including registration and submission procedures, can be found at:
