Networking & Events
The Institute organises a range of events which are ideal opportunities for networking as well as finding out the latest state of the art, updating your technical knowledge, or broadening your materials interests. Specialist conferences are mainly organised through the Institute’s technical divisions, while our Local Societies network provides a series of lectures, visits and social events across the UK.
Institute conferences
Institute events bring you face-to-face with materials experts, deliver focused information, promote technical advances and provide a vehicle for continuous learning, evaluation and adaptation. Institute members will normally get a member discount to attend co-sponsored events – please enquire when registering.
Regional events
The Institute has a network of over 60 affiliated Local Societies distributed throughout the UK, covering a wide range of disciplines and running events throughout the year. It also has affiliated societies in most other continents of the world. Connect with members in your region or attend an event relevant to your interest.
