Michael ForrestMichael spent the first 20 years of his working life undertaking geochemical surveys over most of northern Britain for the British Geological Survey.  He was also involved in the development computer data analysis systems at Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough.   Today these systems are known as GIS.

During the 1990s he worked for Mining Journal Limited as deputy head of research focusing on business and project development in the mining sector for clients worldwide.  He continues this work in his own company Mining Research as well as being Commissioning Editor Mining for Materials World.  In addition to being FIMMM he is also a fellow of the Geological Society.
