Michael DriverMichael Driver is an architect currently working as the Director of the Brick Development Association – the Trade Association for the UK Brick Industry. He was Chairman of the Institute of Clay Technology at the time of its merger with IOM3 and has served on Council since.
After graduating in Architecture and Fine Arts from Cambridge University, Michael worked in Cambridge with a small practice, David Roberts and Geoffrey Clarke. After four years he moved to Manchester joining Cruickshank and Seward – a large commercial practice. He became an Associate and then Partner, but in 1977 he decided to commit himself to full time teaching at the Canterbury School of Architecture. Whilst teaching he ran a small practice specialising in educational work and self-build projects.
In 2001 Michael joined the Brick Development Association as Senior Architect and was appointed Director in 2003.
