Electronic version of Materials World

In this paperless society and when we are all trying to both save money and the environment, has the Institute considered offering electronic version instead of the hard copy? I know one can see the journal on line but if we offered this as an alternative, with a reduced membership fee, we would all win. I know of at least one other society that has successfully taken this approach. Mike Davies

Electronic version of Materials World

Thank you for this suggestion. I shall forward it to the management Board responsible for Materials World. This issue is not straightforward as it has commercial implications for the Institute's revenue and may affect our business plan. If you wish to opt out of the paper copy mailing, it is easy to do so. Please contact membership to arrange this.

E-member online access only

The Institute is also developing an E-member grade whereby a slightly reduced subscription will allow access to all our online benefits (although not to benefits such as professional qualifications). Nuna Staniaszek

e-materials world

I love the printed version and would not want to see it go

I did not enjoy the e-version that was previously sent out for a while

I get far tooo may emails and e-newsletters already

Also, there is nowhere near enough time to participate in online fora
