Future of science under DBIS?

12 Jun 2009, 15:08katherine.williams

British MPs are calling for the Government to establish a House of Commons Science and Technology Committee following the merger of the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills and the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform. It has been suggested that science will be lost in the 'all encompassing super department of Business, Innovation and Skills'.

Will a science committee help? What else could be done to ensure the future of world class science?
