Below is a series of links to online learning resources in Light Metals.

AluMatter
A modular interactive and innovative web-based learning resource about aluminium materials science and technologies. The project is being partly funded by the Leonardo da Vinci fund and aims to provide a package of 9 modules covering the main aspects of aluminium materials science and fabrication technologies over the next 2 years.

European Aluminium Association
The website of the EAA has several links to learning and information resources located on the web including:

TALAT - A collection of over 150 lectures on Aluminium (currently subscription only)

aluDirectory - An online database of "Who is who" and "who does what". Requires registration but is free of charge

aluSelect - a computer-based reference database containing technical information on the most widely used aluminium alloys. This freely accessible website allows the user to obtain information about the mechanical, physical and chemical properties of aluminium alloys. At present, 35 wrought alloys and 12 casting alloys are indexed.

Aluminium Applications
The EAA site also features information of a number of applications of aluminium including Automotive, Building and Packaging

Key to Metals
The site includes a comprehensive list of online articles on light metals. An online database of material properties is also available for a subscription charge.

International Magnesium Association

Magnesium Databases - The site includes online databases on physical and mechanical properties.

Titanium Information Group

TMS

Technical Questions - The site features an online reference section in a number of categories. This service is free and is currently undergoing a trial period online.
