Rachael is currently working for Morgan Technical Ceramics, a business within the Morgan Ceramics Division of the Morgan Company plc, where her role is to provide technical support for process improvements and new products introduction. She previously completed a PhD at the University of Manchester in the School of Materials' Biomaterials group and prior to that gained a first class MEng honours degree in Biomedical Matrials Science with industrial experience at Smith & Nephew developing bioresorbable polymers.

Rachael was awarded the Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) award for Best Materials Student and the IOM3 R H Craven award in 2006 following the completion of her undergraduate degree. In her spare time she enjoys sports including Lau Gar Kung Fu, skiing and reading.
