To coincide with its conference on Advances in Protective Clothing on 25 April 2012, the IOM3 Defence, Safety and Security Committee, with support from Dstl, organised a student design competition. The winners have now been announced.
Andrew Nichols of the University of Bradford has taken home the trophy for first prize in the 2012 Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management "New Generations" competition, held at Arup in Leeds, for his work on remote characterisation of wastewater flows using piezoelectric sensors.
