Welcome to the Ceramic Science Committee

Welcome to the Ceramics Science Committee of the Ceramics Society.

Aims and objectives

The committee membership seeks to represent the interests of the academic and industrial communities in terms of developing a detailed understanding of the underpinning science behind the manufacture and use of ceramic materials.

The members will provide a link between the Institute, other organisations and the public in matters affecting ceramics science.

The committee organises the biannual 1-DRAC (1 Day Research meetings in Advanced Ceramics) events, typically held in the spring and autumn. The schedule and venue for the next meeting will be updated here.

All Institute members are welcome to participate, within the rules, in the work of the committee making suggestions and recommendations as they wish.
