Nominations

Nominations for the Institute's awards, medals and prizes are normally invited in September, with a closing date in December. The recipients are announced in April, and awards are presented at various appropriate events during the year. The premier awards are usually presented at the Institute's Awards Dinner held in July. More details can be found on the Nominations page.

Awards in ceramics

The following are Institute Medals and Prizes in the field of ceramics:

Verulam Award

In recognition of distinguished contributions to ceramics including refractories.
Prize value £300.

Holland Award

In recognition of meritorious service in manufacture and technology within the traditional ceramics industry.
Prize value £300 plus ceramic medal.

Pfeil Award

For published work of particular merit in the field of ceramics.
