The Sustainable Development Group reports to the Industry and Technical Policy Board (ITPB) of IOM3 and produces an annual report conforming to a template. A report can be downloaded as a Microsoft Word document from one of the links at the bottom of this page.  The following text summaries the main achievements and activities that are described in the latest report.

Annual report 2010

The main event of the year was the two-day conference: Innovation Towards Sustainable Materials, held on 10-11 November 2010 at the Royal Society and IOM3. The objectives of the conference were to provide overviews of innovations in the sectors within the current scope of the Group. The subject areas were: minerals and mining, construction and the built environment, resource efficiency and environmental technologies, assessment software tools and information management, product design and packaging, transport and infrastructure, energy and climate change, sustainable manufacturing and processes. The speakers were senior executives and key experts from important industries and organisations.

The event was a success with over 120 participants and a high level of satisfaction was expressed by the speakers and the delegates.
