Ammer Jadoon CEng MIMMM - Councillor representing South East Region
Ammer JadoonDr A N K Jadoon has a BSc(Hons) in Materials Science from UMIST, MSc in Semiconductor Science and Technology from Imperial College, and a PhD in Materials Science from Brunel University.
Ammer's research and technical interests come under 'Surfaces and Interfaces', covering areas such as:
- Surface Technology
- Joining Science & Technology
- Tribology & Lubrication Science
Ammer worked for the Ministry of Defence for a number of years leading numerous projects in collaboration with NASA and Sandia National Labs. At BP, he leads a programme on Surface Technology.
He has received a number of awards for his work including the MoD Young Scientist award in 2005. He has authored numerous publications and technical reports, and edited a number of Journal of Materials Science special issues.

- Industrial Panel Member – EPSRC 2008 International Review of UK Materials Research
Ammer is an organising committee member and Surface Science symposium chair – International conference on Surfaces, Coatings & Nanostructured Materials (NanoSMat).
