The Starpack Awards have been given a new format as they enter their 53rd year of rewarding innovation in packaging design and technology.

The Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering, worth £1m, has been launched by David Cameron to celebrate work that benefits society and to inspire young people to become engineers.

The 2011 WorldStar Awards for excellence in packaging are being judged at the Institute’s Grantham office from 14 to 18 November. The Awards create a standard of international packaging excellence from which others can learn.
